Sweet Pea First Birthday Cake

This cutey petutey cake was made for an adorable little girl named Matelyn’s first birthday party. She’s her parents little Sweet Pea! My mom called me Sweet Pea when I was little too, which made it extra fun to make this cake for her. The top tier was chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. The bottom tier and smash cake were vanilla bean cake with vanilla buttercream.

“This cake was hands down the hit of our party! Madelyn loved smashing it as well (the smash cake, of course!). I am not a huge fan of eating cake but, this was the best cake I have ever had. This fun cake was created for a gentleman named Hank’s 50th birthday party. The lucky guy will be celebrating the milestone event in Playa Del Carmen which is the theme for the birthday cake. The entire time I was making this I kept wishing that I could go to Playa Del Carmen. Not fair!

This fun cake was made for a three-year old birthday boy who loves fire trucks! His name is spelled out of a fire hose. This cake was so much fun to make. The top tier was deep dark chocolate cake with strawberry preserve filling and chocolate buttercream. The bottom tier was vanilla bean cake with strawberry preserve filling and vanilla buttercream.
